KNOW

Special thanks to NAMB for their resources and their willingness to reach the nations with the hope of the Gospel.

In the brokenness that we live in, we are also surrounded by evidence of God's design. The Bible tells us that God's original plan was for the world to be perfect. God had created everything with and for a purpose- to worship Him and walk with Him. Genesis 1:31, " God saw all that He had made, and it was very good".

Life will not work when we ignore God and His original design and purpose for our lives. We selfishly insist on doing things our way, and God's word calls this sin. The consequences of our sin is separation from God for all of eternity.

Romans 3:23, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Romans 6:25a," For the wages of sin is death."

Sin leads to a place of brokenness. We see this all around us in life. Brokenness can cause us to realize that we need something else that is much greater.

Romans 1:25, " They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served something created instead of the creator."

Proverbs 14:12, " There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death."

This world needed some good news, dealing with brokenness due to our sin, we needed something greater and because of His love, God did not leave us in our brokenness. As much as we deserve it, God gave us hope and His name is Jesus. God in human flesh, came to us and lived perfectly according to God's Design. Jesus came to rescue us and to do for us what we could not do for ourselves. He took our sin and shame to the cross, paying the penalty of our sin by His death. Jesus was then raised from the dead to provide the only way for us to be rescued and restored to a relationship with God.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4, " Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures...He was buried {and} raised on the third day according to the scriptures."

Simply hearing the Good News is not enough, We must admit our sinful brokenness and stop relying on ourselves. We do not have the ability to escape our brokenness and sin. We must ask for God's forgiveness and turn away from our sin and trust in Jesus alone. This is what it means to repent and believe. When one believes, they receive new life through Jesus and God begins a transformation within their lives and guides in a new direction.

Mark 1:15b, "Repent and believe in the good news."

Romans 10:9, " If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

When God restores our relationship to Him, we begin to discover meaning and purpose in a broken world. Now we can pursue God's design in all areas of our lives. God's spirit empowers us to recover His Design and assures us of His presence in this life and for all of eternity.

Philippians 2:13," For it is God who is working in you, enabling you both to desire and to work out His good purpose.

Ephesians 2:10, " For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for Good Works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them."
